Memories
With YouWhenever I looked up at the sky
It always gave me a weird feeling
And wondered why I loved it so much
Closing my eyes I see the fondly remembered memories
Gently smiling grandpa, tiny house, friendly neighbors
Remembering how we used to laugh together of what we did
Under the clear blue sky
In the spring, the soft pink cherry blossoms
Protected us as we stepped into the school ground
Full of Fear
Under the clear blue sky
In the summer we wore short pants and tank tops
Went outside and got so many mosquito bites
Ate tons of watermelons, ate so many ice creams
We caught our first firefly
Under the clear blue sky
In the fall we collected all kinds of leaves
Just for fun
And screamed at the caterpillars that fell from the trees
Under the clear blue sky
In the winter we wore layers of clothes
That we looked so fat we couldn't move
We played with the freezing snow till out hands got red
Under the clear blue sky
That had changed
When I had gone out of the country
But they still had the same clear blue sky
Just like the sky above what we always did
Friends
One of the things I love to do is to hangout with my friends. They just make the world look so much fun than it actually is. They always have my back, and I wouldn't know what to do without them. Friends are not something you can ask for, they naturally occur, and that's what I like about it. You can't just go up to a person and say"Can you be my friend?" or bribe anyone to be your friend. They're your friends not because of how you look, how you dress, how much money you have, or anything like that. They like you for who you are. I can probably sacrifice anything for them, as I can with my family, because friends are the only family you can choose.
Growing Up
Highschools and middle schools are very different from elementary schools. It's the time when you become independent, you have freedom. You don't have to wait for the teacher to take you to classes. But you don't have recess, you can make your own choices, and you have to do a lot of work. I think I have stopped playing since I was in 7th grade, because of so much work. I sometimes played on weekends and breaks, but I couldn't play as much as I used to when I was in elementary school. I kind of miss being a kid and not care about anything. When I was little, I always wished I didn't have to grow up. I always dreamed of going to Neverland (Peter Pan) and just be a kid forever. If I'd known how it felt to be in highschool, I would have played much more in elementary school, till I was tired. But, I've learned that everyone's gotta grow up sometime, right?
