Today, in most countries, people use much more resources than they need to. The ecological footprint, which calculates how much land is needed to satisfy their needs, in America is about 12.6 acres per person. For the Indians, their ecological foot print is about 1 acre per person. This tells us that we're using too much resources per person which effects the ecosystems. Sooner or later we will not have enough resources to survive. There are many ways to help this problem. One thing is that people should stop eating so much meat, because it takes about 5 years to raise an animal(like pigs, cows, etc.) and for 5 years, everyday, they had to be fed, which is a lot of grass. If they were a vegetarian, a lot of people could have been fed with the grass that the cow or pig ate. But this doesn't mean that you should be a vegetarian, because meat provides different kinds of protein that vegetables can't. It's just that you shouldn't eat meat everyday.
